This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid without cracks. There are a some tiny, non-penetrating fissures. One cross-cut section is narrower than the other, because one side was cut at an angle. The narrower cross-cut section is a bit thinner than the wider. Reserves on both ends. Please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is brown-mustard.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This brown-mustard mammoth bark is not stabilised and / or filled with resin. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilised and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
