This is a top-quality piece of Siberian woolly mammoth bark (Mammuthus primigenius). The ivory is rock-solid despite some small cracks. One cross-cut section is wider and thicker than the other. Plenty of reserves on both ends. This piece was cut at an angle - please carefully look at the pictures for precise dimensions. The colour of the bark is beige-yellow.
Geological epoch: Pleistocene.
Age: Over 10,000 years.
Origin: Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
This beige-yellow mammoth bark is not stabilised and / or filled with epoxy. Please note that none of our mammoth ivory is artificially stabilised and / or restored unless explicitly stated.
